Going Underground
For the record: the catacombs are indeed creepy, whereas the sewers are merely stinky. The sewers were my idea,w hen we went… I was thinking about Jean Valjean, the Phantom of the Opera, and other such romantic figures. And while the Paris sewers do have a long, rich, and noble history, they are also real sewers in a real city, and they stink.
