The Chase
Hey! I am posting a comic-in-progress. I’ll finish it tomorrow. In the meantime, you get to see a little bit of my process.

So I was at APE in San Francisco last weekend and it was excellent. I always have fun there, and I meet awesome people. It is very humbling to meet talented people who like my work! I also meet talented people who have never heard of me, which is a different kind of humbling. Also I meet regular fans, which is yet another kind of humbling. So there’s lots of humbling going around.
Also I bought a lot of books. It’ll take me a while to read them all.
So let see.. yesterday (Monday) was my 13th wedding anniversary! I was thinking of posting a wedding picture, but as you can see I didn’t even finish the comic today, so THAT wasn’t going to happen. Trust me, we were very cute.
13 years? Congrats, man! And I bet you two were just cute as the dickens!
In other news, Charlie really fell hard, didn’t he? He makes for a most adorable stalker!

I feel like… maybe I didn’t tell the story right here? It’s not so much stalking as, they just see each other on campus a lot. I was thinking about this comic from a few years ago.
I didn’t see it as stalking, just constant missed connections. Hence why Craigslist has that section.

I meant the “stalking” thing as a joke. No worries! Still mightily charmed by Charlie’s eagerness.
😛 Of course I realize I confused matters by naming the post “The Chase”, which just goes to show you I cannot resist a Ms. Pac Man reference.

How weird (fateful) was is that I just found this site today, read from beginning to now, and the most recent strip is how these two got together? Just wanted to share that.
From the beginning??? How so? I tried going backwards, but gave up somewhere around January 2008. Can somebody give me the very first page, please? 🙂
Basten — under each comic you should find a link marked “« First”. That will take you to the very first comic. (The art was a little rough in the beginning. If I let myself redraw comics, I know I would never stop redoing them.)
