Greetings true believers! Another flashback-related comic for you.
I tell you, one thing that’s really fun is deciding what people looked like in flashback images. How do you take a mostly-bald, white-haired character like Jim and draw him as a younger man, and yet retain the recognizeability? (Not sure I succeeded, but then it’s been a while since we last saw Jim, so you’d be forgiven for not recognizing him.)
Oh wow, I love the last panel! And as the guy frequently going on about something and insulted when my s.o. doesn’t care, it’s extra funny.
Julie Andrews was available for Sound of Music because she’d gotten cheated the same way on My Fair Lady. So nyah.
(I guess saying that Mary Martin was Larry Hagman’s mother wouldn’t help?)
