Yay vendor meetings! Yay! Yay!
Based on a true story. I was in a meeting with a vendor a work, and he made a comment about customers in a pickle, and then all I could think about was pickles for a little while. I am basically always hungry.

I always thought you would be Charlie. I don’t actually know why.
Well, initially Charlie was more based on me, and Finn based on my husband. (The name “Finn” is actually a reference to a recurring character by one of his favorite authors. “Charlie” was chosen because it sounds nice with “Finn”. I created the character names 11 years ago, before Charlie Finn was anybody you’d heard of, so that’s just a coincidence.)
But since then it’s evolved so that Finn and Charlie are both kind of me, and also their own people.
Finn’s work stories come out of my experiences in my current job; Charlie’s work experiences come out of my experiences in my previous career as a teacher.
Now I want pickles! What about mango & spicy pickles from India? I could use a pickle vendor right now.
My goal in this comic was to make everyone want to eat pickles.
I haven’t had the spicy mango pickle, but I’ve been with my sister to an Ayurvedic restaurant in New York (many times), and it comes with assorted pickles, which I love.
