So exciting!
Hey folks!
Many of you know by now that I’m a volunteer with a community radio station here in Chicago called CHIRP Radio. We are volunteer-run and donation-funded. Because I believe in this organization, I get up early every Friday morning to DJ a radio show from 6 to 9am. I’m also part of the organization leadership, which means countless more hours doing all kinds of things to make the organization going.
Why am I telling you this? Because it’s fundraising time again. As always, I’m throwing in something extra to sweeten the pot. Make a donation, and put my full name in where it says “how did you hear about CHIRP”, and I’ll send you an extra something. This time, I’m offering commissions.
- For $60, in addition to the lovely CHIRP print, I’ll do a one-person commission.
- For $120, you get the limited edition CHIRP t-shirt, I’ll do a two-person commission.
- For $240, I will do a whole 3-panel custom comic including up to three people.
- And if you make a smaller donation of any amount, I’ll send you a postcard. (No commissions for postcards… for those, I draw what I feel like.)
Here’s what you do: go to http://chirpradio.org/donatenow and make your donation. Be sure to put my full name in there under “how did you hear about CHIRP”, and I’ll contact you to make arrangements.

Does “two-person” include human-sized animals? Could you do a pterodactyl and a sea otter? Not necessarily furry/anthropormorphic – it’s more of an alter-ego or totem-animal thing.
Sure! Technically the fundraising drive period has ended, but I’ll honor any donations that come in this month.
