I was wondering, wich actualy has nothing to do with this specific comic, but Finn and Charlie had a Jewish mariage, right? But they cebelrate thanksgiving, so what’s their religion?
Charlie asked a friend who’s a rabbi to perform the wedding, but she said no, in part because they weren’t Jewish. So instead they were married by a bartender dressed as Mr. Fantastic.
Thanksgiving isn’t a Christian holiday. It’s a civil holiday with strong religious undertones. Everyone in the US celebrates it. When I worked in a language school, It was very difficult to find an American willing to work on Thanksgiving. (Of course, many do—grocery stores are open till midday, convenience stores are open, radio stations broadcast, etc.)
Finn and Charlie do, on the other hand, celebrate Christmas.
I love her. That third panel is wonderful.
