In today’s comic we reveal that Gus is short for Angus, and Tina is short for Cristina. Marriage scenes are magic that way.
Initially I wanted Tina’s last name to be Di Gianfilippo, but that was far too many letters to fit into a word bubble. Pro tip for cartoonists: give your characters short names.

It’s best to give characters names you won’t have trouble spelling if you have to type it out a dozen times. I’ve learned this the hard way.
