When Finn Met Charlie
Welcome to 20 years ago.
Incidentally, I was wrong when I said my husband and I had met 20 years ago. It was 19, which is close. That counts for something. I’m pretty sure relationships are just like horseshoes or grenades.
Thanks to everyone who donated to CHIRP last week! Did you email me about it? If you did not, you should do that now. hitched [at] tonybreed [dot] com.
The naked Finn Running shirt is being printed right now! If you preordered one, it will be in the mail some time in the next 2-3 weeks.
I will be at the Alternative Press Expo, a.k.a APE, on Saturday, October 16th. I’ll be selling t-shirts and books at the Prism table. Come say hi! (If you can’t come till Saturday, you should still be able to buy books and t-shirts on Sunday, but I won’t be there. But then not everything is about me.)
One that this will debut at APE is my second book, which is FINALLY at the printers. It’s called “I Love You, You Big Weirdo”. More on that later, when I am less tired. Ta!

Yeess!! The courtship! So exciting! Long time fan here, first time commenter. Just wanted to say love design on young Finn and Charlie! I so relate too. Making the first move is always the hardest! Can’t wait for more!!
This comic is so endearing, I can’t help but want to hug Charlie 🙂 I’m looking forward to the next few weeks for sure!
What time will you be at the Expo on Saturday? How long will you be there? I have a double header football game that won’t end until 12:30, but I’d love to come out and meet the artist behind the work and pick up your next book.
My official signing time is 1-2pm, but I’ll be back to work the counter from 4:30 to 7:00, so you can always come find me at the end of the day. (All of this is at the Prism Comics booth.)
And though I’m not in it, I can recommend the Queer Cartoonists panel (from 3-4pm), featuring Tommy Kovac (Stitch), Jon Macy (Teleny and Camille), Desmond Miller (Hansel and Gretel: Agents of the Coven), Christine Smith (Eve’s Apple), Rick Worley (A Waste of Time), Sean Z (Myth), and moderator Justin Hall (Glamazonia).
Also, from 4-5 Lynda Barry will be speaking, and seriously, I can’t recommend her more strongly. She’s a GREAT speaker — really really worth seeing, even if you aren’t interested in her work. Go go go go see her. Do it. Especially if you’re a little depressed and need someone to knock you out of it. Do it. DO IT!
I just wanted to say I love young Charlie’s floppy hair.
Ooh, flashbacks? Yay, my FAVORITE!
