The Big Reveal
I was quoted in the introduction to No Straight Lines saying that I take the feedback I get in the comments, and it helps me decide where to go in the storylines. Sometimes it’s hearing what people are interested in—what they find compelling—and sometimes it’s simply that if a lot of people are predicting where I’m going, then it’s too obvious, and I should alter course. That’s what I did this week, and I’m happier with the result. I veered only slightly; you wouldn’t notice. Only I know what I was originally thinking. Ha ha!
Anyway, the point is, this is actually a pretty interactive process.
The introduction to No Straight Lines, by the way, was posted on The Rumpus; in three parts. You can read them here: part one, part two, and part three. The book itself is in stores now—you can just walk in and pick up a copy like it’s commerce or something. (And it’s a pretty cool book, too.)
Also, we are about a month away from The Small Press Expo, in Bethesda, Maryland, and two months away from the Alternate Press Expo, in San Francisco. I’ll be at both cons, and I hope to see you there!

Such a cute bear!!
Yeah I agree he looks better with the new look, really interested to see where this bowling will go.
Have a friend who looks like Corey named… well, Corey… he is also woofy. Love short hair + beard.
Ha! That is awesome! Every time I hear about someone who looks like one of my characters I wish I could see a picture.
There’s a guy a my wine store who looks a lot like Finn. The first time a saw him it freaked me out a little—I kept staring.
