It’s been a while since we’ve seen Finn & Charlie’s cat—for the simple reason that my last cat died almost two years ago, and we haven’t gotten another, which means I don’t have new cat stories to use for Finn and Charlie.
I’m not sure if I want another cat. I still miss my little guy, but it’s him I miss, and not cats as a general concept. It’s kind of nice not having anyone tracking little into the bed, you know?

I know what you mean. Getting a new pet to “fill the void” isn’t always the right way to go, especially if you liked the individual pet more than pets in general.
I say “pet” because in my case I’m thinking of dogs. I’m allergic to cats.
I’m never sure how I feel about pets. I love them, but I always worry about the responsibility of having a pet and having the one i want. I like big dogs, but having a 700 square foot apartment is not conducive to having a pet.
I’m told that great danes like small spaces and are good for small apartments. That sounds like it can’t possibly be true, of course, but it is what I’ve heard.
