How do I look?
Hey peoples!
I had a wonderful time at the FIBD in Angoulême last week. People were just fantastic.
And while I was there the French government passed gay marriage! Well, technically what they did is they passed the first article of the… something something… it was kind of confusing but basically when they are done passing articles then France will have equal marriage. Anyway, yay, France!
Bienvenue aux nouveaux lecteurs! Welcome new readers!

UK have just done the same too! Whoop whoop!
I saw that! Yaaaay, UK!
And it’s moving forward in Illinois, where I live. It’s out of committee in the senate; once the senate votes it goes to the house committee, I think, and then to the governor to be signed. It looks good right now. I am hopeful.
My wife and I are loving this strip. We’ve started using “I just have to be annoyed about it for a while.” Usually it’s she who gets annoyed, but sometimes me… Anyway the point is that you keep reminding us of us – we read it together and have lots of “Awwww” moments. It’s Finn and Charlie’s relationship specifically, not the other characters – though they’re cool too.
On the marriage topic, one of my wife’s friends is American, and has a long-term boyfriend who’s Italian, and can’t marry him to bring him to the States. Argh. Anyone says “Why can’t you just be happy with domestic partnership,” well, that’s one of several practical reasons why “separate but equal” isn’t.
On a third topic, when’s your next fundraiser? I’d love to get some art by you.
Thank you! I’m glad the strip hits home for you.
I will probably be doing a fundraiser in the spring. I’ll keep you posted.
